We are different because we play dance songs originally sung by women for women. We bring a different vibe and sound than other bands because not many band that have 3 women that front the band. This allows us the opportunity to select big dance hits that were sung by women with women harmonies that pack the dance floor.

Most bands don’t have women in their band, and as a result most bands don’t play many of these classic dance hits that Radio Royalty plays! Also, our thinking is the best way to take your event to the next level is play super fun dance music for women, because as the women hit the dance floor they will bring their partners, and husbands with them!

Most bands are all men. On occasion, you will get a band that is all men with one women who is the lead singer that helps to sing the high notes. But even with those bands, the majority of the songs they play were originally sung by men for men. We are different because we put the Ladies first!

We have built the band around the vocals. Our belief is the audience connects with the vocals as the storyteller of the song. We make sure that we are putting the vocalist in their sweet spot vocally. Sometimes that means we move the key to keep it in the range of the vocalist.

Also, we focus on the vocal harmonies. The vocal harmonies add a tremendous amount to the song and make it bigger and more full than having one vocalists. Each vocalist is playing a slightly different key in the same chord as the other singers. It is a lot more fun to listen to as an audience member because it invites you to sing along with the band! The reason is because there is a range of keys that are sung in a harmony, there is bound to be a key that every audience member can sing! This makes it much harder to achieve because you need 3 vocalists in the band all working together to complete the song, but the result is an absolutely amazing sound and much more fun for the audience to sing along.

There is a big difference between a band playing great music and a band playing music people want to dance to. We believe there is a higher energy to dance music. When your audience is dancing it is no longer a band playing at your event it is a party. We pride ourselves on selecting highly danceable songs to make your event unforgettable!

We have made a science out of finding songs that will keep the dance floor packed! It is important that a band approach their setlist and musical selection very similar to the way a DJ would host a party. Otherwise, you will have a room full of people nodding their heads and an empty dance floor.

For everyone in the band this is a passion project, or as Joanna likes to say it is a love letter to the 80’s. We do this for the love of the music and to bring that love to other people. Our true reward is the reaction we get from the audience. We work hard for the audience!

We truly are easy to work with as a band. Each member of the band is an incredible person and is as nice as they are great musicians. I think that is truly the “secret sauce” to what makes the band so fun and successful.

Each person in the band is very easy to work with and works hard at their particular instrument, we practice and come fully prepared to give the best performance for your event. We have had to kiss a lot of frogs, but truly this group of musicians is one of the very nicest and cohesive groups of people I have ever played with. The love onstage translates into our music!
